Postcards from India

Dispatches from The Pepper Coast Photography Expedition™

Anchor’s Aweigh!

A ship leaves the hearbour of Fort Cochin at sunrise, in Kerala, South India. In the foreground, the iconic structures of the Chinese Fishing nets echoes the silhouettes (on the ship’s starboard side) of the cranes used for loading commercial vessels in this busy port.

On its way to the open waters of the Indian Ocean, the ship will tower over the fishermen lowering their nets from a traditional craft near the shore, on the left hand-side of the frame.
